Fees overview

O'Neills understands that this is a very important issue for all clients and that not knowing how much something is going to cost can be stressful. We aim to reduce that stress by discussing fees with you openly and from the very first consultation.

Fees are determined in one of several ways including:

Fixed Fee

In certain types of matters such as the conveyancing of residential properties eg houses, units, etc. and when making a Will or Power of Attorney we can tell you exactly what the cost will be subject to major variations of the standard work which sometimes does occur.

Hourly Rate

In commercial type matters such as drafting agreements or in court matters we charge an hourly rate but even in those instances we will give you our best estimate given that any number of matters can affect what work is required to be done and even then, in some instances we can give you a fixed price.

Where the professional costs are likely to exceed $1500, we will provide you with a Costs Notice and require you to enter into a Costs Agreement which will state any fixed fee or hourly rate and detail the method of calculation for outlays.

Conveyancing fees**

Buying and selling your home or investment property is one of the most important transactions you will undertake in your very busy life so it's essential that everything goes smoothly.

We understand that it is not something that you do very often but as we do it every day, we have the systems to make it easier and less stressful for you. If you are selling your property and purchasing another, we can co-ordinate both Contracts for you. We achieve this by providing our clients with a professional, reliable, efficient and cost-competitive service.

Our *standard fees for conveyancing are:

* Our costs will increase if significant problems not part of the standard process arise. Minor additional work is not charged.
